Courtyard development ideas

Courtyard Project Pptx
PowerPoint – 23.0 MB 1 download

The development of a courtyard project demonstrates leadership through initiative and innovation as I was able to identify an opportunity to enhance the therapeutic environment and improve patient engagement. It reflects my ability to think beyond immediate clinical tasks and consider how environmental changes can support wellbeing and occupational participation.

Help sheet and self made resources

Creating a learning resource for a SEN learner demonstrates leadership through initiative, adaptability and a person-centred approach to supporting individual needs. It reflects my ability to identify a gap and develop a tailored solution, considering different communication and learning styles to ensure accessibility and inclusion. This also shows emerging leadership in practice by promoting understanding, supporting others’ engagement and contributing positively to the learning environment.

Timetabling

Managing my own timetable and planning throughout placement demonstrates leadership through organisation, initiative and accountability. By independently structuring my time, prioritising tasks and preparing for sessions, I have taken responsibility for my learning and contributed effectively to the clinical environment. This also supports my CPD, as it has helped me develop time management, self-direction and the ability to identify and engage in meaningful learning opportunities, all of which are essential for effective and safe professional practice.

3rd year feedback

Good morning,

Just wanted to send some positive feedback for the "Supporting independence" training yesterday.

I really enjoyed it and have taken some things from it that I will use in Day services.

It was informative and went really quickly which is a sign of enjoyment ☺️

Leading a training session on promoting independence for SEN learners through scaffolding demonstrates leadership through confidence and the ability to share knowledge effectively with others. It reflects my capacity to guide and influence practice by applying theoretical understanding in a practical, accessible way. This experience also shows my ability to communicate clearly, adapt information to meet the needs of different learners, and support others in developing their skills, highlighting emerging leadership within practice.
